Anime Afternoon and new titles!

This April 18th will be an exciting Anime Afternoon, because the library system seems to have added quite a few new titles! As many as we can get will be available to sample at the event. Hope you can make it! Curry and Taiyaki will be present, as always!

Our library has also added some exciting new titles!

Chi's Sweet Home: The cutest anime in history, about a lost kitten and her new family. (Still awaiting cataloging)

Silver Spoon: A troubled young man enrolls as a Dairy farming student at an agricultural high school, in order to escape problems at home. He is in for a rude awakening as he comes to terms with the facts of farm life.

Accel World: A nerdy kid with great video games skills is recruited as a champion by a beautiful girl, to take part in a virtual reality fighting game that is more real than it seems.

Baka & Test: In a school where students use their grades to compete in digital combat, the top students get all the best equipment, and the not-so-bright Class F has to struggle along with broken tables, old textbooks, and no respect. Can they fight their way to a better classroom?

Space Dandy: Dandy is a space bounty hunter who makes his space living by discovering new kinds of space alien and bringing them in for registration. With his faithful space sidekick (a talking vacuum cleaner) and a Betelguesean space cat, he travels space in his space ship looking for new space life and ogling buxom space waitresses at his favorite space restaurant. (Still waiting for cataloging!)

Titles!

Notice something new on the left? Now Movie Licensing USA allows us to publish our upcoming movie titles on websites! No more wondering what movie I am hinting at. ^^

Another year has started, a new movie budget, and MORE ANIME! We have added a complete box set of Excel Saga and will be adding Space Dandy and Accel World in time. I am also hoping to squeeze Silver Spoon into the budget. See you at the movies!

Anime Watch

Preparations for Anime Halloween have begun! I hope many of our anime fans and otaku can make it again.

We have added new anime this year, as always. Chrome-shelled Regios is new this year, and we have replaced our worn-out copy of Negima, as well as added the second season! (Title is "Negima?") Season 5 of Hetalia will be hitting the shelf tonight, and thanks to a generous donation, Season 2 of Code Geass will also be added before long. We have also ordered a DVD containing two short OVAs, Coffee Samurai and Hoshizora Kiseki. The first is the strange tale of an ancient samurai reincarnated as a coffee vending machine. The second is the story of a boy with uncanny knowledge of the stars.

Keep watching with us! And get your cosplay ready for October 25th!

Rev up your radical Delorean and prepare to go into the past as we present a totally tubular time-travel trilogy from the days when New Wave was gnarly and everyone was wondering where the beef was! We go Back to the Eighties on August 1! Movies will be shown at 3, 5 and 7 pm. Don't miss it, or you will be declared grody to the max! (NOTE: Date edited to avoid Fair Week!)

Too cold for anything but MOVIES!

Hey, hope you're getting through this cold winter okay! We are buying plenty of exciting new movies, so remember to get your library on! Those of you following popular series will be excited by this month's release of Downton Abbey Season 4, and Game of Thrones Season 3!

April 1st Amnesty Day is approaching fast--as long as your items have been returned, we will erase all Seymour library fines for anyone who comes in! Time to get those killer movie late fees wiped out.

In anime, be ready for the fast-approaching Anime Afternoon, on April 5th this year! It's earlier than usual due to schedule conflicts. We are adding new titles this year, as always--here in Seymour, we have Natsume's Book of Friends awaiting cataloging, and Penguindrum on order. In the library system, since the last event, libraries have added Nura Rise of the Yokai Clan and Hakuoki.

Special thanks to those of you who brought treats and helped with the cleanup, and a big thanks to everybody who came, for helping to make our anime events ever more awesome!
